Privacy Policy

TL;DR
We collect your email (to sign you in), your Mac's hardware specs and the names of AI models you have installed (to recommend better models), and — only if you opt in — performance benchmarks of those models. We don't see your prompts, your conversations, or anything else on your computer. Agent Synth is operated by Block 19 LLP.
Who we are
Agent Synth is operated by Block 19 LLP (“we”, “us”). Reach us at admin@theblock19.com.
What we collect
1. Account data
- Email address — used only to send you a magic-link sign-in email and to identify your account.
2. Hardware profile
When the macOS agent runs, it sends us:
- Chip family and variant (e.g., “Apple M4 Pro”)
- Total and available RAM
- Total and free disk space
- macOS version
- A list of AI runtimes installed (Ollama, MLX, LM Studio, llama.cpp, Hermes, OpenCLAW)
- The names and sizesof AI models installed in those runtimes (e.g., “qwen2.5-coder:7b · 4.7 GB”)
- A device identifier (random UUID generated locally on first launch)
- A device name (auto-derived from your Mac's hostname, e.g., “Your Mac mini”)
3. Optional performance telemetry
Only if you opt in via the menu-bar “Share anonymous performance data” toggle, we collect:
- Benchmark results from a fixed set of standardized prompts: tokens-per-second, time-to-first-token, peak memory usage
- The model and runtime that was benchmarked
- Your chip family and RAM tier (so we can compare runs across similar hardware)
These samples are tied to your device ID, not your email or any prompt content. You can disable telemetry at any time from the menu-bar agent.
What we don't collect
- The contents of your prompts or model outputs
- Files on your disk (beyond aggregate free/total bytes)
- Other apps you have installed (beyond the AI runtimes listed above)
- Your network activity
- Your location, beyond what's inherent to your IP address reaching our servers
- Anything from Hugging Face / Ollama / model downloads — those go directly from those services to your Mac, never through us
Why we collect each thing
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Send you sign-in links; identify your account | |
| Hardware specs | Recommend models that fit your machine |
| Installed models | Avoid recommending models you already have; flag old models superseded by newer ones |
| Device name | Help you tell your Macs apart in the dashboard |
| Telemetry (opt-in) | Crowd-source which models actually run well on which hardware |
Who we share it with
We use these third-party services to operate Agent Synth:
| Service | What they handle | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, auth, file storage (where your profile lives) | supabase.com/privacy |
| Resend | Sends you the magic-link email | resend.com/legal/privacy-policy |
| Vercel | Hosts our dashboard and API | vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy |
| Apple | Notarizes our macOS app so it runs without warnings | apple.com/legal/privacy |
We don't sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train AI models.
How long we keep it
- Account and profile data — until you ask us to delete it. Then within 30 days.
- Telemetry samples — kept indefinitely in aggregate form so we can keep improving recommendations. Email us to disconnect your specific device.
- Server logs — 30 days, then deleted by our hosting providers.
Your rights
You can:
- Access the data we have on you — email us at admin@theblock19.com.
- Deleteyour account and all associated data — email us; we'll confirm within 30 days.
- Export your data in JSON — email us.
- Disable telemetry— toggle “Share anonymous performance data” off in the menu-bar agent at any time.
Because Agent Synth is operated by Block 19 LLP from Singapore, Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) applies to all personal data we handle. You have the right to request access to, correction of, or withdrawal of consent for the personal data we hold about you. Contact us at admin@theblock19.com to exercise any of these rights.
If you're in the EU or UK, you have additional rights under GDPR / UK GDPR (rectification, restriction, objection, portability, and the right to complain to a data protection authority). Email us to exercise any of them.
Cookies
We use one cookie: the Supabase session cookie that keeps you signed in. It's a strict-essential cookie (no consent banner required). We don't use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies.
International transfers
Block 19 LLP is registered in Singapore, but our infrastructure runs in the United States (Supabase US-West, Vercel global edge network). Your data is therefore transferred to and processed in the US, with Singapore-based access by us as the operator. Our hosting providers have standard contractual clauses in place for EU and UK transfers; Singapore's PDPA permits cross-border transfers to jurisdictions with comparable protection.
Children
Agent Synth is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything material, we'll email everyone with an active account at least 14 days before it takes effect. Minor edits (typos, link updates, clarifications) we just publish here.
