Terms of Service

TL;DR

Agent Synth helps you find and manage local AI models on your Mac. By using it you agree to these terms. You're responsible for what you run with it; we provide it as-is with no warranties; if something goes very wrong, our liability is capped.

Who can use Agent Synth

You must be at least 13 years old. If you're under 18, your parent or guardian should agree to these terms with you.

Acceptable use

Use Agent Synth for what it's designed for: discovering, evaluating, and managing local AI models on hardware you own or are authorized to use. Don't:

• Try to break, reverse-engineer, or exploit the service
• Use it to install models that violate their own licenses
• Submit fake telemetry intended to skew recommendations
• Share account credentials
• Use the service to harm anyone

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your sign-in email secure. We use passwordless magic links; if your inbox is compromised, your Agent Synth account is too.

What Agent Synth does (and doesn't)

Agent Synth:

• Recommends AI models based on your hardware
• Lets you install and manage models via the runtimes you've already chosen (Ollama, MLX, etc.)
• Tracks which models are installed across your devices
• Optionally collects performance benchmarks (your choice)

Agent Synth does NOT:

• Host AI models — they download directly from Hugging Face, Ollama, etc.
• Run inference for you — everything happens on your Mac
• Guarantee that any recommended model is fit for any particular purpose
• Promise uptime — we provide the service on a best-effort basis with no SLA

Local models

When you install a model through Agent Synth, it downloads directly from the model's host (typically Ollama's registry or Hugging Face). You're responsible for complying with that model's license.We don't grant you any rights to the models we recommend; the model authors do.

We don't validate model safety, accuracy, or fitness for any purpose. Test before relying on anything.

Intellectual property

• Our service — the dashboard, the agent app, the catalog — is owned by Block 19 LLP. You get a non-exclusive license to use it.
• Your data — the hardware profile, telemetry samples, and any preferences — is yours. We process it as described in our Privacy Policy.
• Third-party models — owned by their respective authors, governed by their respective licenses.

Termination

You can stop using Agent Synth any time — uninstall the menu-bar app and email us to delete your account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms (e.g., abuse the service, submit fake telemetry, attempt to exploit it). For serious violations we'll do it without notice; for minor ones we'll usually warn you first.

Disclaimer of warranties

Agent Synth is provided AS IS and AS AVAILABLE, without any warranties of any kind — express, implied, or statutory. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, accurate, or fit for any particular purpose.

This includes the recommendations: they're based on community benchmarks and curated judgment, not guarantees of model quality on your machine.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Block 19 LLP's total liability for any claim arising from your use of Agent Synth is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you've paid us in the last 12 months (currently $0 for everyone), or (b) USD $100.

We're not liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
• Lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or loss of goodwill
• Anything caused by third-party services (Supabase, Resend, Vercel, Apple, model hosts) or by the models themselves

Indemnification

You'll defend and hold harmless Block 19 LLP from any claim arising out of your misuse of Agent Synth or your violation of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The courts of Singapore shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms.

Changes to these terms

If we change anything material, we'll email active accounts at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
